Driving Test Manoeuvres Explained: Parking and Pulling Up

Parallel parking

Park behind a car within about two car lengths. Go slowly and keep checking all around, especially your blind spots.

Bay parking

Drive in or reverse in, as the examiner asks. Use reference points your instructor teaches you.

Pulling up on the right

Pull up on the right, reverse two car lengths and rejoin traffic safely. Observation is everything.

Practise until it's routine

Manoeuvres need repetition. A package of hours gives you the time without rushing.
